Adult Volunteers

How can I Join The Adventure?

Let's start with the basics: you don’t have to be an adventurer like Bear Grylls to get involved with Scouting - all you need is a can do attitude and a willingness to help others whilst having some fun along the way!

Scouting works best when there is a team of people, all with different skills working together.  So maybe you're the idea person to deliver first aid training? Are you good with numbers? Handy in the kitchen? Or are you a DIY whizz? We all have different skills and you could have the ones we urgently need.

Prior Scouting experience isn't needed, if you're willing to learn we can help you gain externally recognised qualifications, skills and having a brilliant time, Scouting also offers the chance to build on personal skills, like teamwork, confidence and leadership. A study found that over 90% of our volunteers believe that the skills and experiences they have gained through Scouting have been of relevance to their working or personal lives.
